The INNO-Policy TrendChart provides independent analyses of major innovation policy trends at national and regional levels across the EU-27 and other countries in the Mediterranean region, North America and Asia. The chart improves the basis for decision making in innovation policy by identifying examples of good practice.
A policy monitoring network of country correspondents tracks developments in innovation policy measures in these 39 countries. The information collected by this network is used to maintain an inventory of innovation policy measures and feeds into annual country reports, specific policy briefs and an annual European innovation progress report.
The Inno-Policy TrendChart also contributes to the European inventory of research and innovation policy measures which has been created by the EU Commission in order to facilitate access to research and innovation policies.
The 39 country reports produced by the INNO-Policy TrendChart highlight innovation policy trends and priorities and in the case of the EU Member States also help in appraising progress towards the relevant Lisbon objectives aimed at improving innovation performance across the EU.
As the national correspondent in TrendChart from 2000 to 2009, INNOVA SpA has produced 13 annual INNO-Policy TrendChart-Policy Trends and Appraisal Reports for Italy. The reports tracks innovation policy developments on a regional and national level, highlighting and analysing the most recent objectives, trends and governance system in Italy.
