Promoting best practices to support energy efficient consumer behaviour on European islands
The PROMISE project implements actions for realizing energy efficient behavior among residential households in islands. Good practices on energy efficiency schemes addressed to households, and mainly adopted on the partner island Samsø, will be exchanged and transferred to the target islands Iceland, Kos and Tenerife. Knowledge transfer will take place through capacity building workshops and awareness raising campaigns addressed to the island households, including energy home checks and further marketing strategies. Next to the households, the islands’ energy policy makers will be tackled for considering energy efficient consumer behavior in their islands’ energy action plans.
INNOVA is the coordinator of the project and will act as a facilitator of the transfer of good practices on energy efficiency schemes to the target islands and support the implementation of the capacity building workshops.
