Rome startup is a no-profit organisation started in 2012 (http://romastartup.it/eng-home) and created to favour the development of the startup ecosystem in Rome and the Lazio region as an innovation hub in Italy and be a coordination unit for public-private innovation actors at local level. It groups incubators/accelerators, big corporates, SMEs, universities, public/private innovation agencies, VC funds, business angels, associations, and other innovation stakeholders to ensure networking, lobbying and advocacy towards public institutions and policymakers. Communication and Promotion of best practices is on entrepreneurship and new business creation is also a major mission as well as the creation of links with other international ecosystems.
