More than 200 participants attended the final event workshop of the MAP-IT project in which INNOVA is partcipating as a partner. The event, which was hosted by MAP-IT! Egyptian partner ITIDA, brought together experts in ICT from research and industry and focused on boosting innovation in ICT by “Opening up channels of ICT cooperation between Europe and the Mediterranean region”. This was not only the opportunity to demonstrate to the audience the results gathered by the MAP-IT! team over the past two years but also to discuss the Seventh Framework Programme and the revised ICT Work programme as well as exchange information on ICT research cooperation in the Mediterranean region giving an overall view of the ICT research competences in Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon and Palestinian Authority.

Members of the MAP-IT! team presented the results of the 8 Mediterranean Partner Countries and invited the audience to participate in the discussion.
