From dispensers for water and beer to flour, from robotics to recycling machinery, and then cleaning products and packaging machinery, crop protection products and jams.

These are some of the products that, through the Upgrading Emilia-Romagna project in the USA, will try to conquer new shares in the US post-coronavirus market.

The list of 20 companies admitted to the training phase of the project for the relaunch of exports implemented by the ICE Agency (Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies) and the Emilia-Romagna Region has been published, in collaboration with Confindustria Emilia-Romagna. The aim is to support innovative manufacturing companies based in Emilia-Romagna in the development of new and targeted internationalization strategies.

The tender, held in recent months, awarded twenty companies: five from Bologna, as many from the province of Reggio-Emilia, three from Piacenza, two from both the province of Modena and those of Rimini and Ravenna and a company from Ferrara.

“The United States is historically a very important market for our manufacturing companies and today we do not know the conditions in which it will find itself when it comes out of the pandemic - commented Vincenzo Colla, regional councillor for economic development, work and training -. This is why it becomes essential to support our entrepreneurs with the best experts and consultants who can accompany them towards a new internationalization, thus also strengthening their respective supply chains. I am sure that made in Emilia-Romagna, focusing as always on quality and innovation, will find new space and attention in the American market, renewing that tradition that has always recognized our products as unique in style, value and high performance".

The twenty selected companies will now be able to participate for free in the training course that will be held in September, remotely, by internationalization experts from the ICE Faculty. Particular attention will be given to digital tools and commercial operations most suitable for the post-emergency American market, with interventions by the ICE offices in the USA.

Subsequently, among these companies, 12 will be selected that will be able to take advantage of a personalized consultancy path, coaching services and on-site assistance.
