“European R&D policies: Regions move forward on focussing resources on Innovation”, AMCER Project meeting, 15-16 May 2012, Florence (Italy)

Tuscany Region organized on 15-16 May 2012 a large event with a significant European dimension in the context of the European project AMCER - Advanced Monitoring and Coordination of EU R&D Policies at Regional Level.

In addition to EU representatives, Italian national and regional representatives, the meeting gathered 9 regions from 7 EU Member States: Tuscany Region, Italy; Andalusia, Spain; Brittany Region, France; Catalonia, Spain; East of England, United Kingdom; Flemish Government, Belgium; Lower Saxony, Germany; Ostrobothnia, Finland; Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, France.

The purpose of the event was to discuss the impact of EU programmes related to Research, Development and Innovation on the regional systems involved; ways of improving monitoring and coordination of RDI activities at regional level; and to encourage the transfer of good practices at the European level.

Mr. Gavriel Avigdor from INNOVA Europe and coordinator of the AMCER project participated to the project steering committee and workshop during which he presented the AMCER results to date. He also gave an interview on the outcomes of the event. Listen to the video interview here.
