3rd PRO-INNO Europe annual partnering event hosted by the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, Stockholm, 24-26 November 2009

INNOVA participates to the 3rd PRO-INNO Europe annual partnering event “Innovation Support in Europe”.

The Annual Partnering Event takes its inspiration from the so-called Lund Declaration and its addendum issued by the Swedish Presidency Conference on the future development of European research 'New world - new solutions' in July. The declaration states that European research policy should move away from the present thematic approach and instead focus on the Grand Challenges of our time. Furthermore, it calls for 'a new deal among European institutions and Member States, in which European and national instruments are well aligned and cooperation builds on transparency and trust'.

Against this background, the PRO INNO Europe® Annual Partnering Event will explore how new forms of cooperation between the different policy levels can be facilitated to provide more effective innovation support in Europe responding to the Grand Challenges, as to be identified by the European plan for innovation.

It will specifically focus on how the new INNO-Nets and INNO-Actions can contribute to this new deal, identifying the related challenges and priorities for their work over the coming years.

INNOVA’s CEO, Aleardo Furlani, presents EPISIS (INNO-Net on innovations in services).
