INNOVA celebrates 16 years of successfully bridging Research and Market, Rome, October 9 2009

16 years of successful technology transfer and valorization activities and constant growth for client companies were celebrated in Rome on 9th October 2009. At this occasion,  INNOVA had the immense pleasure and honor to welcome Professor Ullrich head of the German Max-Planck Institute's department of Biochemistry and Nobel prize candidate to share with the audience his experience as an innovative researcher and entrepreneur, having actively contributed to technology transfer activities through several spin-offs.

 

Prof. Ullrich is one of the most eminent international scientists in the fields of molecular genetics and oncology. He has developed among the most important anti-cancer drugs and has been a pioneer in the field of applied biotechnologies. He has received many rewards, among which the Robert-Koch Award, the Pezcoller Award, the Prince Mahidol Foundation Award and the Johnson&Johnson Award.

Prof. Ullrich has especially shared with us his vision on innovative research and his key success factors: “Innovative thinking is not something that can be learned, it is driven by passion and fun as well as constancy and commitment towards bringing ideas to applied results”.
