INNOVA participates in the 8th international conference on computer and IT applications in the Maritime Industries, COMPIT’09 in Budapest, 10-12 May 2009

The maritime industry faces constant change - ever more so under the current economic circumstances and the rules and regulations being developed by the IMO, the European Commission and other authoritative instances.

R&D, new technologies and professional insight provide answers to the challenges of future engineering. The annual COMPIT provides space for professional exchange and discussion on these matters.

Within COMPIT’09 our experts, Antonio Zangrilli, Andrea Picini and Alessio Gugliotta presented their paper providing a preliminary overview of a still on-going methodology for the market exploitation of Multiple Unmanned Marine Vehicles (MUMVs), developed in the framework of the

GREX research project. GREX is a R&D initiative supported by the European Commission aiming
at the development of a innovative middleware system to coordinate groups of heterogeneous un-manned marine vehicles working in cooperation.
