A high level Chinese delegation led by the Shanghai Technology Innovation Center (STIC) organized a study tour in Rome on November 17, 2011. The aim of the visit was to gather a better understanding on how to assist companies in accessing financial schemes, intelligence and opportunities in Italy and seek incubator- based potential cooperative opportunities.
On this occasion the Chinese delegation visited Innova’s premises where Innova’s innovation experts provided for useful information about the Italian national innovation system.
Mr Tommaso Foglia, Manager of Innova’s Nanotechnologies & Biotechnologies Department presented Innova Group’s competencies and services with a special focus on the seed capital company, Invent, highlighting the strategies to access funding schemes and the opportunities for foreign companies interested in setting up a company in Italy and in particular the assistance and services that can be provided by technology incubators (services provided especially to start-ups).
The Shanghai Science & Technology Development and Exchange Centre (STIC) was also involved in the visit. STIC is a public agency under the Science & Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipal Government, which has largely contributed over the last year 10 to support SME’s growth and innovation.
