Innova - Good news from NAMDIATREAM

The NAMDIATREAM (Nanotechnological toolkit for multi-modal disease diagnostics and treatment monitoring) project has been shortlisted among the 10 very best of all the over 1000 projects launched under the EU Funding Instruments in the field of nanotechnologies and advanced materials! NAMDIATREAM has successfully developed innovative diagnostic devices for the early diagnosis of 3 common cancer types (lung, breast and prostate) representing more than 4,5 million worldwide cancer cases in the year 2012.

NAMDIATREAM technology is based on cutting edge nanotechnology-based tools for multi-modal detection of biomarkers, permitting identification of cells indicative of early disease onset in a high-specificity and throughput format in clinical, laboratory and point-of-care devices. INNOVA has been in charge of project management, has coordinated the development of the strategic plan for the exploitation of project results and has delivered professional training workshops related to Technology Transfer and IPR management and valorisation.
