The Italian Foreign Trade Commission (ICE) is organizing, in partnership with INNOVA, a training and promotional event on R&D, funding, startup acceleration and joint collaboration between Italy and USA. The event will take place from the 27th till the 28th of May 2015 at the Cambridge Innovation Center in Boston.The initiative aims to boost the participation of Italian SMEs and startups to the internationalization process, giving detailed information about the American startups scenario and creating links between Italian companies, operating in high technological fields, and US companies and subjects which are interested in taking advantage of the possibilities offered by the plurality of funds addressed to the field and considering the possibility of presenting joint projects to be proposed to the American venture capitalist. The conference represents an important bilateral moment for Italian companies on one side, who have the interest in starting a collaboration with the USA and are willing to test their products on the most challenging market, and for active Boston-based entrepreneurs, researchers, technology developers, investors and professionals interested in learning about Italian research & tech excellence and willing to establish an industrial/scientific collaboration with Italian partners on the other side.
After the conference, the participants are invited to a networking aperitivo, which will close the first day of work. On the 28th there will be the opportunity to hold bilateral meetings between the US participants and the Italian delegation (companies, INNOVA S.p.A., INNOVA Consulting Group and ICE).
