National Projects

The evaluation study, entirely carried out by INNOVA, aims at mapping interface structures  present in the four Convergence Regions: Campania, Apuglia, Calabria, Sicily, analyzing their position in the innovation supply chain as well as carry out a segmentation of offered services in order to identify good practices and analyse their transfer potential.

The evaluation study will verify the institutional, organizational, strategic and operational structures that characterize the promotion of innovation and technology transfer and related services, giving priority to the analysis of the structures established and financed under the previous Structural Funds’ programming and thus in a more advanced stage of implementation. The survey and evaluation of these structures will aim to verify their performance with respect to their ability to meet the demand of local innovation, but also the impact that they generate on the socio-economic scenario.

INNOVA is the main subcontractor performing following activities within the project aimed at planning and managing communication campaigns on the National Operations’ Program (PON) R&D results :

• consultancy and support activities related to the program implementation;
• provide media contents;
• identify and develop multimedia contents;
• delineate co-sponsored advertising projects;
• carry out accompanying activities to industrial and scientific partners.

The aim of the project "MAESTRO" is to develop an innovative platform that can assess the territorial impact of innovation strategies on companies that want to improve their level of competitiveness.

The impact analysis has been evaluated by means of performance indicators of complex systems and environments modelled according to the theory of complexity applied to technology foresight and to the dynamics of open innovation. 

The Center of Competence ICT-SUD has presented a project for the realization and the launch of a network of centers of technological competence in 6 Italian regions: Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sicily, Sardinia and Basilicata. The objective is to promote the technology and scientific development of the regional companies (especially PMEs) by supplying technology transfer services that focus on enhancing competitiveness and increasing efficiency of production processes that involve the ICT sector.
The final aim is to enable the companies to optimally respond to the ICT demand and to better target their regional market but also the national and international markets.
This approach is also used inside the network for the proposition and realization of multi-disciplinary projects of strategic value for the South of Italy (Mezzogiorno).

Innova acts as a partner for the Calabria Region.

The project was presented by the scientific and technology park of Calabria, Calpark S.C.p.A. under the initiative of the University of Calabria and financed by the Ministry of economic development.
The objectives of the project are to favor technology transfer actions, bridging research and market and to contribute to the social and economic development of the Calabria Region by promoting and sustaining new high-tech PMEs.  The project selects new entrepreneurial ideas and high-tech innovative companies in phase of start-up or newly constituted and provides them with technical, economic and financial assistance.

INNOVA, as a partner in the project, especially carries out in-depth training and technology audit actions.

The project aims at developing new methodologies and technologies in view of an innovative approach to training and to maintenance support in aeronautics, based on techniques such as virtual reality, enriched reality, artificial intelligence, psychology of learning processes and analysis of the influence of human factors. The objective is to contribute to increase the security of air freight by reducing the risks of accidents caused by maintenance defaults themselves caused by human mistakes or non standard working habits.  The project also includes a master training in “Innovative Methodology for aeronautic maintenance”.

INNOVA is responsible for the technical and administrative activities of the project and carried out within the training for the Master a module on planning, strategic management, operational evaluation and organization of industrial research projects and competitive development.

ICONA is a regional project coordinated by INNOVA aimed at sustaining innovation actions and at increasing the competitiveness of PMEs in the Calabria Region by responding to their specific needs a favouring the matching between offer and demand for innovation. The main activities carried out are: animation and awareness rising of the industrial context, technology audits and implementation of of an operational model for the supply of an integrated package of services aimed at disseminating innovation across the Calabrian PMEs.

The project was presented by the company CIRA SCpa (Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali) and carried out in two phases. In the first phase research was conducted to develop an intelligent maintenance management system presenting high levels of reliability and security thanks to the constant monitoring of the structural integrity and the proper control of the vehicle (aerospace and aeronautics). In a second phase a Master-level training was carried out on the theme “Design of intelligent systems for the monitoring and the security control in aeronautic structures”.

INNOVA was responsible for the technical and administrative activities of the project and carried out the training sessions.

Innova provided a Technical assistance for the development of the Innovation System in the Umbria region to Umbria Innovazione. A pilot action aimed at enhancing and improving the innovation system in the Region through the increase of the local technological potential  and promotion of  high-tech spin-off creation.
