The present document provides an analysis of the state of the art of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region, focusing specifically on its application in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
The results suggest development policies based on an integrated approach, combining funds and knowledge availability, providing new technologies and redesigning business processes, involving local intermediary organizations and promoting internationalization.
