The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Republic of Tunisia are organising the 7th FEMIP Conference in Tunis on Research, Development and Innovation in the Mediterranean, in presence of the Prime Minister Mr. Mohamed Ghannouchi.

Aware of INNOVA’s interest and expert advice in matters relating to the sustainable development of the Mediterranean region, and in particular to the creation and development of innovative companies, Aleardo FURLANI, General Director of INNOVA, has been invited to attend to the session on the reflection on network initiatives that could contribute to the development of innovation in the Mediterranean.

The Conference will bring togetherimportant government officials, researchers as well as representatives of the private sector and international financing institutions and will provide a forum to exchange views on the following topics:

• The institutional framework governing the development of R&D and innovation
• Business strategies for the development of R&D and innovation
• The role of networks in the consolidation of an innovative Mediterranean economy
• Supporting tools and funding for innovative companies
