Open call for tenders for mobile application development for Cult-Ways

The INNOVA project Cult-Ways is currently launching a call for tenders to find a suitable contractor to build the 'back-end' services that will serve the Cult-Ways tourism mobile application.  The project started in December 2011 and has so far been concerned with both market assessments and data sourcing in the relevant regions in Spain, Italy and Germany.

Final event of JOEL project, 10 May, Lecce, Italy

INNOVA S.p.A. and INVENT S.p.A. collaborated, together with 7 other selected companies, in the "Job, Excellence e Link",  Joel,  project The aim of this innovative project addressed to young graduates, was  to transfer know-how from the world of research, to experiment entrepreneurial ideas, innovative technologies and knowledge transfer and ultimately to assist them in establishing 4 spin-off companies.

Training on SME Development in Science and Technology, 8-10 May 2012, Pretoria, South Africa

The department of trade and industry, in collaboration with the Italian Trade Commission, will be hosting a training course for SME’s, following the successful series of seminars organized by both organizations in 2010.

Aleardo Furlani, CEO of Innova S.p.A., and Federico Tunzio, Senior engineer at Technical Partners, have been selected trainers at the seminar focused on “Knowledge Sharing”, taking place in Pretoria from the 8th to the 10th of May 2012. The training sessions will be followed by an in depth interactive discussion on the topic.

Alfredo Picano, CEO of Labor Srl, INNOVA’S in-house engineering laboratory, is an invited speaker at the 14th annual Hybrid SMALL FUEL CELLS 2012 symposium that will take place in Boston,MA on July 18, 2012 organized in conjunction with New Generation Batteries 2012 Conference (July 19-20, 2012, Boston, MA). He will be presenting the “PEMFC Plug-In Serial Hybrid Powertrain”.

The Symposium in Small Fuel Cells meeting is the primary source of information for end-users, developers and manufacturers of hybrid fuel cell/battery devices across fuel types, system architectures, and power ranges.

NET-EUCEN validation campaigns, May 2012 to March 2013, Brussels, Belgium

NET-EUCEN “Network of European Stakeholders for Enhance User Centricity in eGovernance” is glad to announce the beginning of its validation workshops campaign. This will consist of a series of workshops that shall be used as main instrument to transfe knowledge among network members and to validate single step-results, namely 1. the scenarios developed, 2. the eGovernment indicators of application of user-centricity and 3. the benchmarking of existing services against these indicators.

The validation of such challenging results is deemed and extended to the whole eGov Community as well.

On the occasion of the 7th experts’ group meeting of the joint group SHC Task 40-ECBCS Annex 52 "Towards Net Zero Solar Energy Buildings" of the International Energy Agency, the ENEA EEN BRIDGEconomies, in collaboration with INNOVA, will organize a Bilateral Meeting Event on Zero Energy Building technologies and policies. At the event SMEs, Universities, Research Centres and Public Administration involved in energy efficiency and/or use of renewable sources of energy activities will have the opportunity to meet the Zero Energy Building experts in one-to-one meetings.

    Partnership Forum PA-Labor for innovation consultancy services at the Open Innovation Lab 2012

    “Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) Manual – A practical guide to PCP Implementation for PROGR-East pilots”- Draft version now available

    The scope of this document is to provide a supporting “hands-on” tool for policy makers and public procurers who want to start testing Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) in their respective countries and need a reference framework with practical guidance on how to establish and conduct a call for PCP.

    The draft publication was prepared within the EU-supported Progr-EAST awareness-building initiative, coordinated by INNOVA S.p.A., aimed at introducing PCP to public authorities and stakeholders, specifically addressing 5 targeted Eastern European countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and Slovenia.

    Aleardo FURLANI, CEO of INNOVA, gave an interview during the round table organised in margin of the seminar on “Knowledge in motion - cooperation between Canadian and Italian Universities”,  organized by the Embassy of Italy in Ottawa last October. The focus was set on the importance for the two countries to collaborate in bringing together research centers, universities and financing agencies and in increasingly involving the indiustrial world.

    Worldwide celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship through business incubation, 5 December 2011

    Today is the fourth year of the Global Business Incubation Day. Around the world, business incubators are celebrating the success of the companies they have supported.

    The Moroccan Incubation and expansion Network (RMIE) for which INNOVA is carrying out a technical assistance project financed by the European Investment Bank also joins the international community and wishes everyone a Happy 4th partners Global Business Incubation Day!

    In addition to this global incubation day, and as part of its ongoing support for incubator managers, the RMIE is organizing a seminar on Marketing Innovation on December 6, 2011, in Rabat.

    Within their study tour in Italy, organised by the Italian Trade commission (ICE),  a delegation of Balkan industrials visited INNOVA for a specialization course on technical and management practices on 24 November 2011.  The main topics covered by the course were Technology Transfer and the access to European financing schemes. The course was followed by a visit of INNOVA’s in-house R&D laboratory highlighting it’s successful role in bridging research and market.

    A delegation of 6 Tunisian representatives from the Tunisian Export Promotion Centre were welcomed at the Innova premises for a presentation of the Innova business Model and practical case studies of ongoing technical assistance projects in the Mediterranean involving institutional capacity building and business development coaching as well as the  illustration of several successful technology transfer actions in the agro-food sector within EU-financed projects.

    The study tour, organised by the Italian trade commission (ICE), included a visit of INNOVA’s in-house R&D laboratory highlighting it’s successful role in bridging research and market.

    The  study tour in Italy, organised by the Italian Trade commission (ICE) was addressed to a delegation of 7 Egyptian export managers active in the agro-food and marble sectors accompanied by officials from the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry. The focus of the study tour was to exchange views in the fields of technology transfer and research spin-offs.

    INNOVA welcomed the delegation from Egypt at its premises for a presentation of its business model and a speech on innovation and technology transfer in the marble, textile and agro-food sectors. The study tour included a visit of INNOVA’s in-house R&D laboratory highlighting it’s successful role in bridging research and market.
