The Company Plantarom, founded in 2006, with the participation of INVENT SAS, a Tunisian researcher, Mohamed Elyes Kchouk, as well as local investors, has as principal activities:

• Distilling and processing of essential oils industries, including the production of aromatic compounds;
• The exploration of the high potentialities contained in the Tunisian and North African medicinal and aromatic plants;
• Biochemical and pharmaceutical research activities in order to implement this strategy.

The company Plantarom, aims, through these activities, to achieve the following objectives:

• Become one of the leading Tunisian and North African companies in the field of the identification of bioactive molecules and their applications in the area of human and animal health, through the design and implementation of innovative processes to set-up promising scientific patents;
• Take advantage of the various national and international funds allocated to the exploitation and the valorization of research results, in order to conduct its business;
• Benefit from the results of the research in the field of exploitation of essential oils, through strategic partnerships with national and Europeans research centers.
