Technical assistant Coordinator for EIB
Since 2005, INNOVA is carrying out a technical assistance for the implementation and development of 5 Scientific Poles in Tunisia financed by the European Investment Bank. The 5 scientific poles in Tunisia situated in Sfax, Sidi thabet, Monastir, Bizerta, and Sousse are dedicated to the following sectors:
multimedia & information technology; biotechnology & pharmacy; textile & clothing and agro-food giving special emphasis to specific components: production, R&D and training.
The technical assistance covers following aspects:
- Competitive positioning of the techno-poles within the Tunisian and international contexts;
- Definition and implementation of a marketing strategy for each pole
- Definition of the overall layout of the poles and their components
- Targeted assistance, specific to each pole
In 2009, INNOVA also published and internationally diffused on behalf of EIB a reference document on the management modalities of Technology poles.
In 2010, Innova co-authored a guidebook for decision makers: Plan and manage a science park in the Mediterranean. This publication, issued by the European Investment Bank (EIB), the World Bank, the Medibtikar programme and the City of Marseille, aims to define and explain the role of science parks and technopoles and the interactions between them; to help decision makers to plan and manage science parks; to propose number of examples and previous experiences to which decision makers can refer.
