IRE Secretariat
From 2004 to 2008, INNOVA coordinated the IRE Secretariat, the Coordination Unit of the Innovating Regions in Europe, aiming to facilitate the exchange and the valorization of regional experiences and innovation practices. The IRE is considered, together with the IRC as one of the largest European Networks in charge of innovation and technology transfer.
INNOVA also carried out animation activities for the IRE Network, provided Info Point services, organizes events, conferences and meetings around the regional innovation theme.
According to the latest Customer satisfaction Survey (2008), conducted by the Observatory of Innovation at Cardiff Business School in Wales (UK), “the overwhelming majority of respondents rated IRE Secretariat overall services coordinated by INNOVA as either very good or good and in particular the services “Help Desk” & “Partner Search” were rated at 100% good or very good.
INNOVA presently collaborates with the Entreprise Europe Network, a part of the EU's Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (CIP). The Network offers support and advice to businesses across Europe and helps them make the most of the opportunities in the European Union. The services are specifically designed for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) but are also available to all businesses, research centres and Universities across Europe.
