Pundit and EventPlace: successful outputs of the groundbreaking research into next generation ICT, carried out within the framework of StoM Project, co-founded by the European Union under the EU 7th Framework Programme.
StoM project (http://www.stom-project.eu/) commenced on 1st May 2014. Now, after 2 years of working together, the Consortium (ICT - NET7, IN2, SpazioDati and business development - Techin and Innova) joined the goal to develop a commercial pathway for software-as-a-service solutions, applying semantic annotation and semantic recommendation solutions in two platforms: EventPlace and PunditBrain (this last one now simply changed in Pundit).
The platform EventPlace, is a new versatile and flexible communication platform for events. It helps better drive, connect and engage with audiences by gathering effortlessly what participants share on social media, building up on-the-fly insights and knowledge on what they are talking, creating engaging multimedia stories to showcase the event's best moments and sharing instantly all your photos, videos, presentations and slides.
With a user interface characterized by a coherent and elegant design, Pundit can be considered the ultimate tool for web annotation: highlight and comment easily fragments of text in any web page. The new app Pundit Dashboard, consists of an online platform where users can review and manage all the annotations, highlights and comments created with Pundit. The Pundit Annotator is the perfect tool for students, researchers, journalists but also for general users who want to remember a part of text in a page or leave their comment about it. Pundit also provides a tool for managing and reviewing all your annotations in a central web application.
