The Italian Trade Commission, in collaboration with Innova Consulting Group, Inc., the Cambridge Innovation Center, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the National Italian American Foundation, organised an international training seminar to support entrepreneurial efforts to commercialize university research results.

The seminar provided concrete tools and examples to academic science researchers with the potential or interest in translating their research work into a research spin-off / start-up company in Massachusetts or in Italy.

Eminent speakers from the Italian Trade Commission, Innova S.p.A., MIT Technology Licensing Office, Northeastern University, Mass. Technology Transfer Center, Vimac Ventures and many others covered topics on public funding and private investment opportunities in MA and Italy, presenting examples of local university models and  showcasing successful international start-ups.

Following the seminar, one-to-one consultative meetings with industrial actors and international experts were scheduled.

On the occasion of the seminar, a printout of a Chapter on "Technology Trasnfer as a Value creation Process for modern Trade", written by Aleardo Furlani, CEO of Innova, was handed out.
